Late
60's, early 70's. My love for foreign languages and radio programming
keep growing. My first 60 minute tapes would fill up with the rhythms
and voices of the more unusual jockeys of the time.
My
favorite stations were Radio Monte Carlo in
Italian, Radio Luxembourg in English (at night),
and of course Radio Veronica, which was pretty transgressive
back then.
It was the latter which inspired me and my friends to start our own
neighborhood FM pirate radio in Geneva and in Italy during Summer
vacations.

The
late 70's marked my debut as a DJ at various house parties. From
across the Swiss borders Radio 24 and Radio Mont Blanc start sending
their signals all over Zurich and the Lake Geneva areas. Through the
Italian and French backdoors, free radio arrives in Switzerland at last.
In
1980 I start working as a DJ at Radio Pays-de-Gex, a local station across
the border with France,and at a club in Geneva, Le Musicol, which left
a pretty deep impression on this 18 year old...
